I believe every student can learn to read and write successfully with the right instruction. My tutoring is grounded in the sciences of learning and reading and focuses on building strong, lasting skills—not quick fixes or guesswork strategies. My goal is simple: help students feel successful, capable, and independent.
I use explicit, structured, and systematic instruction to help students understand how sounds, letters, and meaning work together. Lessons are interactive, supportive, and paced to build confidence alongside competence.
My Instruction is:
• Explicit – I clearly teach each skill step-by-step
• Systematic – skills build logically from simple to complex
• Multisensory – students see, say, hear, and write sounds and words
• Diagnostic – lessons adjust based on student data and progress
I work with:
• K–8 students
• Struggling or below-grade-level readers
• Students with dyslexia or suspected reading difficulties
• Students needing phonics, spelling, or writing support
• Students who need structured, explicit instruction to build confidence
Sessions are ideal for both intervention and skill strengthening.
