About Aiden

Hello! My name is Aiden, and I have recently graduated Cum Laude from Taunton High School. Throughout high school, writing was one of my strongest skills, and I often found myself helping classmates by revising essays, strengthening arguments, and overall improving their assignments. I realized that if I could help high school students succeed, I could help younger students build their skills and confidence as well!

This fall, I will be studying journalism at Stony Brook University, a nationally recognized institution and the flagship university of New York. My passion for writing has helped me develop a strong eye for detail, communication skills, and proper grammar usage, all of which I hope to pass on to my students.

While I am new to tutoring, I strive to be a supportive, constructive, affordable and dependable tutor for students who need that extra push to boost their confidence and writing abilities! Whether it’s brainstorming ideas, organizing essays, someone to look over their work and revise, or improving grammar, I want my students to feel prepared and confident when they step into the new school year or their next assignment!

About the lesson

As a virtual tutor, I offer flexible availability throughout most of the week with minimal exceptions. Whether I’m on vacation in New Hampshire or at my dorm in Stony Brook, I will be just one message away!

I primarily prefer to tutor students grades four through eight, focusing on essay writing, creative writing, vocabulary, and general writing skills. My teaching style is hands-on and interactive. For essay and general writing, I will assign topic questions that I believe the student will enjoy writing about, guiding them through the process via Zoom or Google Meet. For creative and fiction writing, I introduce genres and prompts tailored to the student’s interests while helping them develop their ideas and structure.

Once students complete their work, I will carefully proofread and assist them with revisions, helping them develop the same “eye for detail”!
