About Tyler
When I was in high school, I had an undiagnosed learning disability that made it difficult to focus and retain information.
This hurt my confidence and made it difficult for me to ask for help and crippling test anxiety.
I knew I needed help, and so I went to a tutor and they patiently helped me get caught up. I began to thrive in this class.
I still remember the day that I got my test results back for my first AP History class. I did a double take when I got my test scores. It was one of the best feelings ever when I saw that I got a 4. That is why I love tutoring so that I can help other students have that same feeling.
Since high school I went on to get a bachelor of arts degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration on religious history and political science.
I am proud to say I got an A+ on my senior thesis. Which compared the advent of the printing press to the spread of misinformation during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
My tutoring specialities are:
AP US History
AP Government
AP Geography
AP World History
AP European History

If you want to become more confident taking your next AP History exam- I can help!
My tutoring style is both encouraging and pushes students to their potential.
Here is what a typical lesson will look like:
1. Not just mindlessly memorizing dates or facts but focusing on the WHY so that you understand it deeper
2. Making history and literature fun by exploring how these stories relate to my students lives.
3. Engaging students with the latest research backed teaching methods to increase retention and deep understanding.
