About Emily

I'm currently about to start my Masters in Criminal Justice Policy at LSE, after studying Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method there for my undergrad. Honestly, I got into tutoring because I love those moments when something finally clicks for a student. I remember struggling with some concepts myself - especially in philosophy where you can read the same paragraph five times and still not get it. But when it does make sense, it's brilliant. What really motivates me is that these subjects - philosophy, sociology, psychology - they're not just academic exercises. They actually help you understand why people behave the way they do, how society works, and how to think through problems logically. That's genuinely useful stuff. I started helping other students because I found I was good at explaining things in different ways. Not everyone learns the same way, and sometimes you just need someone to put an idea into words that make sense to you specifically. Plus, I actually enjoy the challenge of making complex theories accessible - there's something satisfying about breaking down a difficult concept until it's crystal clear. My aim is simple: help you understand the material properly, get the grades you want, and maybe even enjoy the process along the way.
