About Natalie
I'm a professional violinist from Singapore currently based in South Florida and have held leadership roles such as concertmaster and principal second in orchestras including the New World Symphony, Spoleto Festival Orchestra and National Repertory Orchestra. Alongside my performance career, I'm passionate about music education and helping students develop not only strong technical skills but also confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong appreciation for music. My training at DePaul University and the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory, combined with my fellowship at the New World Symphony, has taught me how to communicate musical ideas clearly and patiently. I enjoy working with students of different ages and levels, with a deep interest in working with the neurodiverse community and I strive to create lessons that are challenging, supportive, and tailored to each student's goals.

While I love performing as a professional violinist in South Florida, I am passionate about teaching because I enjoy helping people discover what they're capable of through music. I believe every student has different goals—whether they're preparing for auditions, returning to the violin after years away, or learning just for the joy of it. My approach is to meet each student where they are, create a supportive and engaging learning environment, and build a strong technical foundation while keeping lessons enjoyable and meaningful. Ultimately, I want my students to develop confidence, musicality, and a lifelong appreciation for music, no matter what their aspirations are.
