I have tutored to a secondary school standard for the past 3 years at a leading school (The Scots College) in Sydney, Australia. I have worked with a large variety of students in background and strength. I have also been a basketball coach for the past 5 years.

At the beginning of a tutor-student relationship I take the time to understand the manner and nature of a student, doing some basic competency tests. After establishing an understanding of the strengths, weaknesses and personality I will alter my approach to them. I am patient and understanding, never belittle my students, and encourage questions and prompts. I want my students to enjoy the work they are doing, and find a passion for education and learning.
