About Jade
I am a recent graduate from UBC and I am passionate about political science. Political Science has provided me with the skills to approach any idea, conflict, or abstract situation with a balanced yet critical perspective. I have tutoring experience as early as elementary level - where I was teaching younger students how to read and write. Combined with my experience, my degree has given me excellence in written and spoken English proficiency, essay writing, reading comprehension, and a wide range of other academic tools. I am also passionate about leadership and believe that it is an extremely valuable resource for developing communities and individuals.

My teaching methods begin with patience and precision - every individual learns a different way and at a different pace. This style must first be identified based on the relative individual and then applied based on their needs. Some sessions may be more difficult than others, but as an individual who has been both a tutor and tutored, I know that you always leave a session feeling more confident than you did when you arrived. In a group tutoring session, individual needs must still be addressed by giving each person the time to ask questions and keeping the group small or making a plan ahead of time.
