About Jeanne

I'm an Additional Learning and Support Needs Consultant and SACE registered Educator with over a decade of experience walking alongside learners on their own unique journeys.

My path began in the classroom, where I quickly learned that no two learners walk the same road. As both an educator and a parent of children with additional learning needs, I understand what it feels like to navigate learning differences, tricky behaviour and classroom chaos, and I know how much a little guidance and understanding can change everything.

That experience drove me to keep learning, so I studied the neuroscience and psychology behind how children think and learn, looking beyond coping strategies to real causes and real solutions. Now I bring that knowledge, along with plenty of heart, into every session.

I work closely with families, schools and therapists so that everyone supporting your child is on the same page. For students, that means learning that feels safe, fun and made for you. For parents, it means you'll never have to figure it out alone.

My approach is built on compassion, collaboration and practical strategies that work, because every child deserves the chance to grow in their own way and to thrive, whatever their capacity.

About the lesson

Every child learns differently. Individualised structured literacy intervention meets each child where they are. Our sessions are playful, relationship-based and strengths-led.

Using games, creativity and explicit skill-building, children build real reading and writing skills without the demands of fitting the mainstream mould.

Support for every stage:

FUNdamental Foundations (Grades R-2)
Sound awareness, letter-sound knowledge, syllables and early sentence skills, built through movement, games and songs. Short, varied activities keep little learners engaged and confident.

Core Connections (Grades 2-3)
Stronger reading fluency, comprehension, spelling patterns and written expression. Strategy games, collaborative tasks and mini-projects show children how their skills connect, so they feel capable, not "behind".

Skill Strengthening (Grades 4+)
We close previously unidentified literacy gaps and help children apply their skills. Explicit coaching in planning and studying builds independence, dignity and confidence.

Flexible by design. Learners move fluidly between levels as their needs change (regardless of age), so support stays responsive, respectful and effective.

Our sessions make use of neuro affirming practices and science backed, evidence base approaches to remediation for Dyslexic and other neurodivergent children.

Details

Hourly rates can be split into R100 per 15 minutes for learners who cannot sustain attention for longer periods of time.

Hourly rate includes 1x 5-10min feedback session with parents. Longer feedback sessions will be charged at R50 per 15 min.
Feedback sessions and roundtable meetings with other support professionals can be arranged.

Hourly rates for in person lessons includes the creating of resources for lessons and accommodating resources for home and school.

Travel cost apply to lessons taking place outside of the 20km radius surrounding Bedfordview, up to 30km out.

Lessons within this radius do not incur travel costs.
