About Ivana

I believe everyone has the right to learn, regardless of experience or age. With 15 years of experience in music, I have had the privilege to play five instruments, three of which I have played professionally. These experiences have properly equipped me to teach piano for nearly a decade, with my lovely students ranging from tiny tots to the very wise. I believe that learning music should be the foundation in everyone's life, for it helps in proper brain function, including memory, and brings the performer and the listener both joy and peace, reducing the constant stress people may be experiencing in life. Whether you are parent, a student, single, or married, I can help fulfill any musical dreams you have tucked away for that tomorrow that never seems to come.

About the lesson

My method for teaching offers a complete study of the piano, from basic music theory to proper wrist formation. You will taken on a musical adventure, studying not only how to play music, but the stories behind the musical pieces themselves, and what is supposed to be conveyed through them. Similar to ballet, you will be given the ability to exude grace and confidence when performing. Using the Piano Adventures series fit for either children or adults, the student can expect to receive concise and complete lessons using fun exercises and memory builders, so that music and piano performance is an adventure, rather than a chore. With supplementation from the Suzuki Piano Series, and my renowned challenge pieces that is tailored to the students' preferences, you will be challenged in unexpected ways, and given the confidence in yourself you never thought you lacked.

Perfect! As someone with little prior experience with piano lessons (~1 year of formal lessons as a kid), I was interested to see how restarting lessons as an adult would go. Ivana has been great at personalizing our lessons so that I am feeling challenged but not overwhelmed each week. She has done a great job at adapting the lessons to fit my skill level. Her lessons include a good balance of theory exercises as well as "fun" pieces that incentivize me to practice throughout the week. She gives great feedback and is very personable. Lessons are organized very well and she always sends a review message to guide me in my weekly practice. I am very happy I chose Ivana as a teacher and would recommend her to students of any experience level.

Ivana is excellent!!! A blend of encouraging and challenging, I've improved my piano skills dramatically with her instruction. As an adult with some piano experience, Ivana has helped take me to the next level. Excited to keep going! My boys (7 and 5) also take lessons with her.
