About Tony
I have always enjoyed the challenge of breaking down complex mathematical concepts into easier to understand ideas. Throughout my 33-year teaching career a variety of strategies were employed to create meaningful mathematical experiences rather than simply dispensing assignments from a textbook that were driven by increasing arithmetic skills rather than understanding.

Mathematics is a passion of mine. Whether it is connecting algebra and geometry together on the coordinate plane, exploring patterns through tessellations and number sequences or a deep dive into word problems, I am all in! My students were exploring concepts through the use of manipulatives, simulations, accessing online resources and application experimentation that went well beyond the textbook.
