About Brooke
Just out of high school I received my first tutoring job. I helped an 8th grade girl with her biology homework. Her class grade before I tutored her was a C-. After tutoring her for about two months at three days a week, we got her grade up to an A-.
My second experience was at North Hennepin Community College. I was a volunteer tutor that accepted appointments for help in biology and anatomy courses. There were students that walked in for my help, and I had about three regular students that made appointments with me. My three regular students from NHCC received passing grades rather than failing grades in their biology and anatomy courses.
Overall, I have tutored over 8 students who are either in middle school, high school, or college.

Hi, my name is Brooke. I am going into my third year of college, and I have previously attended two colleges where one of my majors was biology. I recently changed my major, but my passion is still biology/anatomy.
I have tutored biology at North Hennepin Community College, and I have taken over four biology/anatomy courses during high school and college.
I like to teach by using power points that I create based off of the material that needs to be learned. My teaching practices differ with each individual student. Sometimes I use my own notes, a textbook, or set up personal notes for that student depending on what kind of help is needed.
