About Nick
I’m a 30-year-old elevator mechanic by day and a passionate artist by heart. Drawing has been a part of my life since I was 9 years old and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
It all started in 4th grade when I met a kid who was drawing Dragon Ball Z characters during class. I was hooked instantly. I had to learn how to do that. My mom bought me a How to Draw SpongeBob book and that little book changed everything.
Here’s the funny part I only read the first two pages and understood the concept of drawing. Page one talked about perspective and how to really see the world around you. Page two broke down all the basic shapes needed to draw anything in the book. That was all I needed. I drew SpongeBob exactly once and then immediately moved on to drawing Dragon Ball Z characters. Once you start looking at the world as shapes and not complex forms drawing will make all the sense in the world.

You Can Draw — You Just Need the Right Starting Point
What if drawing was actually easier than you thought? Here’s a little secret every drawing you’ve ever admired, every face, every figure, every detailed piece of art it all starts with simple shapes. Shapes you already know how to make. A circle. A cylinder. That’s where we begin, and that’s what makes this approach so powerful for beginners.
My lessons are built around one simple idea: if you can draw a circle and a cylinder, you can draw anything. No experience needed, no natural talent required just curiosity and a willingness to try. I’ll walk you through every step in a way that’s easy to understand, easy to follow, and actually fun.
Here’s everything we’ll work on together:
Circles & Cylinders — Your New Best Friends
This is where the magic starts. Before anything else, we get comfortable with these two shapes because they show up in everything. Once you see how a circle becomes a head and a cylinder becomes an arm, drawing will never feel scary again. This is your foundation and it changes everything.
Eyes, Nose, Mouth & Ears — Faces Made Easy
Drawing faces feels impossible until you learn the secret they’re just shapes stacked together. We slow it all the way down and tackle each feature one at a time. By the end you’ll be drawing eyes, noses, lips, and ears that actually look like the real thing. It feels amazing when it clicks.
The Head From Circle to Full Face
We start with one circle and step by step turn it into a complete, believable face. You’ll learn where everything goes, how to get the proportions right, and how to draw heads from different angles. It’s easier than it looks, I promise.
The Body Making Figures Feel Natural
The human body sounds complicated but it’s really just cylinders connected together. We break it all down into simple, manageable pieces so nothing feels overwhelming. You’ll learn how to make your figures look balanced, natural, and full of life.
Arms, Legs, Hands & Feet- No More Avoiding Them
Most beginners skip these because they seem too hard. We don’t skip anything here. I’ll show you exactly how to simplify each one so they make sense and actually look right on the page. You’ll wonder why you were ever afraid of drawing hands.
Bonus — Animals
The same simple shapes that build people work just as well for animals. Once you’ve got the method down, we have a little fun applying it to four-legged friends too.
Every single lesson moves at your pace. There’s no judgment, no pressure, and no silly questions. Just clear, encouraging guidance designed to help you grow one step at a time.
You already have everything you need to start.
