I had the opportunity to learn Microeconomics under ma’am in my second year, and I can confidently say she was one of the most dedicated teachers I’ve had. She made sure every part of the syllabus was clearly explained and nothing was ever left unclear. Her notes, teaching style, and willingness to revisit concepts until I truly understood them made a huge difference to my learning.

What I appreciated most was how she encouraged questions and created an environment where students felt comfortable seeking help. She genuinely wanted us to improve and always supported us in putting in the effort to do better. Ma’am has been incredibly approachable, patient, and committed to her students.

This gives students a minimalist approach to understanding, remembering and applying any and all concepts taught by her. It allows for deep engagement with the subject which automatically makes it enjoyable and memorable. The approach aside, Ipsita ma’am brings a lot of passion to teaching which is infectious and something all her ex-students take with them as part of the legacy of being her students. Overall her love of Economics as a field of study is seen in every class and her love of teaching is apparent in every minute of it. Ipsita ma’am is the reason I fell in love with economics. She is thorough, immensely knowledgeable, and has the rare ability to impart that knowledge with clarity and passion. It’s easy to be good at something, but it takes true skill to make others good at it too, and she does exactly that. I’m deeply grateful to her for being the kind of professor I needed, to not only do well in my economics papers, but also become more disciplined in my study overall.
