About Taya
I’m a Ukrainian-born soprano and passionate performer, currently studying at the Royal Danish Opera Academy. I’ve sung in over 100 concerts across Europe, performed at the Royal Danish Opera, and appeared in televised national events seen by millions. My journey has taken me from violin and Latin dance to opera houses and masterclasses — and I bring every bit of that experience into my teaching. I believe singing is about much more than technique: it’s about connection, honesty, and the joy of using your voice in a way that feels true. I teach and communicate fluently in English, German, Russian, and Ukrainian, and I also have a basic knowledge of Danish — so you're welcome to learn in the language that suits you best.

As a tutor, I combine professional vocal technique with a creative, student-centered approach. My goal is to help each student — beginner or advanced — build a voice that is healthy, expressive, and uniquely theirs. While my training is rooted in classical singing, I work across genres like pop and musical theatre, and I adapt my teaching to suit each student’s voice, interests, and energy.
A typical lesson starts with body and breath work, followed by vocal exercises to develop range, support, and flexibility. We then apply those tools to songs or pieces you love — whether that’s an aria, a Billie Eilish ballad, or anything in between. I focus on solid technique, emotional connection, and musical storytelling — but we’ll also laugh, experiment, and have a good time doing it.
What sets me apart is that I’m not only a conservatory-trained singer, but also an active performer with real-world experience — from major opera roles to televised concerts for thousands. I bring that perspective into each lesson, helping students grow vocally and artistically.
My lessons are open to everyone: total beginners, curious hobby singers, aspiring pros, and anyone who just wants to enjoy their voice more. Whether you're working toward an audition or just singing for fun, I’ll meet you where you are and help you grow from there.
