About Vara

I’m a passionate singing tutor with over 7 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Ethnomusicology, focusing on vocal traditions. I love exploring the art of vocal arrangement, harmony stacking, and creating lush textures that bring songs to life, whether for group singing or multi-tracked recordings.

I specialize in teaching a wide variety of styles, including A Cappella, Pop, Gospel, and R&B. Lessons focus on vocal blending, counter-melodies, arranging techniques, and production, helping you develop both technical skill and creative expression.

I work with school students, college learners, and aspiring professionals, tailoring lessons to fit each student’s goals and abilities. Improvisation, composition, and music history are key parts of my teaching, giving context and depth to every practice session.

I also incorporate music technology into lessons, helping you understand recording, layering, and producing harmonies in modern contexts. You’ll learn to craft beautiful vocal textures and explore your unique voice within a group or solo setting.

About the lesson

I work closely with students like Suzuki learners and orchestra singers, tailoring exercises to their unique needs. We focus on stability, tone, and control to help you excel in ensemble or solo settings.

Breath management is a core part of every session. You’ll practice strategies that improve phrasing, projection, and overall vocal power. Stamina builds gradually and safely.

I also teach posture, warm-ups, and vocal care habits that protect your voice long-term. Healthy technique ensures consistent improvement and prevents injury.
