About Vivian

Hi, I am a singing tutor with over 9 years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Arts and Opera. Music has always been a way for me to connect with something bigger than myself, and I love helping others discover that same connection.
My passion is helping students build real vocal confidence and move past performance anxiety. I work closely with singers who want to connect emotionally with their songs, especially in contemporary worship and gospel music. Whether you are singing for a congregation or for yourself, I want you to feel every word you sing.
I teach a range of styles including Pop, Indie, R&B, and Contemporary Worship. My lessons cover breath control, expressive phrasing, and vocal health, so your voice stays strong for years to come. I also coach live performance skills, which helps a great deal when leading congregational singing in front of a crowd.
I have worked with shy beginners who were scared to sing in front of anyone, and I have watched them grow into confident performers. I also guide teen worship leaders as they step into bigger roles, and I support aspiring recording artists working toward their first release. Each student is different, and I adjust my teaching to fit their goals and comfort level.
Finding your voice takes time, so be patient with yourself and enjoy the journey. Singing is a gift, and I would love to help you use it to express yourself and connect with others.

About the lesson

"My teaching approach is built on authentic expression and powerful communication. I believe that singing is more than hitting the right notes. It is about telling a story that an audience can feel and remember.
I focus on lyric interpretation, so each student understands the meaning behind every line they sing. From there, we work on emotional connection, so the feelings in a song come through naturally rather than forced. Storytelling through singing is at the heart of every lesson I teach.
I also spend time helping students learn how to convey meaning to an audience, not just perform for one. Some of my students are natural performers who play instruments and love a lively stage presence, and I help them channel that energy into vocal expression. Others come from a strong academic music background and already understand theory well, so I guide them to bring more heart and feeling into their technical skill.
No matter where a student starts, my goal is the same. I dedicate myself to refining their ability to move listeners. When you work with me, you will truly embody your songs."
