About Henry
I have over 8 years of experience as a singing tutor and hold a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice with a focus on vocal performance. My teaching approach is holistic, combining physical alignment, breath awareness, and vocal expression to help students sing with ease and confidence. I incorporate yoga-inspired vocal warmups, body mapping, and tension release techniques to create a healthy and sustainable vocal practice. I’m passionate about exploring diverse genres like World Music, Chanting, Folk Fusion, and Healing Sound, which inspire my lessons and enrich my students’ musical journeys. Each session is designed to connect the body and voice, unlocking not just technical skill but also emotional depth and creativity. I believe the voice is a powerful tool for well-being and creative freedom. My goal is to guide students in discovering their unique sound while fostering a sense of joy and balance. My teaching approach to singing combines technical skill with creative expression. I focus on harmony singing, microphone technique, vocal improvisation, and pop/R\&B stylization to help students find their unique voice. Each lesson is tailored to build strong fundamentals while encouraging personal style.
I work closely with both advanced teens and adult beginners, supporting their individual goals and growth. For advanced learners, I emphasize refining tone, control, and blending harmonies. Beginners receive patient guidance to build confidence and proper technique from the start.
Lessons include practical exercises, listening skills, and performance practice to prepare students for real-world singing. I encourage experimentation with vocal improvisation to foster creativity and musicality. Microphone technique is also a key part of the curriculum, helping students perform with ease.
My goal is to help singers excel while enjoying the process. Together, we develop skills that allow you to shine on stage or in the studio. Singing becomes not only a skill but a powerful form of personal expression.
