About Penelope
I’m a singing tutor with over 5 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music Education with a focus in Voice. My greatest joy is helping students tell stories through song—where every phrase carries emotion and meaning. I specialize in Jazz Standards, Broadway solos, and the Golden Age repertoire that continues to inspire generations. My teaching blends technique with heart. I love working on swing phrasing, jazz ornamentation, and shaping characters through vocal color and interpretation. I also teach lead sheet reading so singers feel confident and flexible with both written and improvised material. I work closely with passionate adults, experienced singers, and community theater actors who want to refine their craft. Whether you're preparing for an audition or returning to singing after years away, I offer a supportive space where your voice can thrive. Together, we explore style, expression, and vocal health to make sure every note you sing tells your story. Each lesson is personalized, energetic, and grounded in classic vocal technique. My singing teaching approach is grounded in strong technique and joyful expression.
