About Avni
My name is Avni Bhardwaj and I am curently a student in sixth form. As a student myself who also had to sit the 11+ exams, SATs and GCSEs, I understand the struggle of finding a tutor who guides and challenges you with lessons that propel your learning, not waste your time.
Because of the struggle of this I have spent years of my academic journey researching various study methods such as Feynman Technique, Flow state, Mind Maps and Priming. And because of this, I have been able to gain an understanding of effective study strategies that can elevate my students' learning not only for the short term, but also equip them with necessary knowledge for the long term.
But most importantly, I understand the importance of a growth mindset. Therefore, growing and adopting perseverance will be a key skill, even in my lessons, that will inspire the passion of my students.

Gnerally my approach to teaching is all about patience and collective growth. So, what a typical lesson looks like is, at the beginning we would review the homework incorrections first individually then together. We'll note down the topics that are recurrently incorrect to reinforce this skill. And throughout the lesson we will practice key concepts for new topics but largely exam technique for the exam preparation.
A lesson will be 1 hour long and is largely targeted towards children aged from 9-11 years old as preparation for the 11+ exams or SATs. However, I can also teach upcoming GCSE students having completed mine.
