About Majel
I have been giving lessons to younger family members over the years, and I want to branch out of my family into the general public at a time where motivation may be especially low, and students may not be receiving as much help as they should be. I achieved one of the highest Sociology grades at A level (an A grade) and achieved a 2:1 in Social Anthropology (bachelor degree), which allowed me to build on my sociology skills even further, as the two subjects are somewhat similar. Currently I am a Social Media Marketing manager, but I want to do tutoring as my main job.

My style of teaching is very straight to the point but most importantly it is a good balance of being casual and professional, as well as fun. Learning should not be stressful, and I know that it can be frustrating to have a teacher who waffles for the whole lesson, leaving you more confused than when you came in. I tend to work chronologically, starting with the basics and having simple essay layouts that can be followed or changed to fit the students style of learning. I am very much quality over quantity and believe that you do not need to memorise the whole textbook to get a good grade, and I genuinely believe that only learning what needs to be learned and understood, allowed me to breeze through Sociology A level, achieving A's in my first mock (90%), an A at AS level and overall A at A level. I am an open communicator and I am very happy to adapt my learning style to the students, and to work out what style of learning is best for them.
