About Furqaan
Helping people meet their academic targets is a passion of mine, reflected in my experience as a teaching assistant who not only worked closely with SEN students to ensure that they are getting the most out of their education, but also created and taught my own lesson to Year 10 students.
I myself have had many barriers to achievement - ADHD being one of them. Therefore, I am deeply empathetic to all limits and weaknesses, and I'm all about working through these to ensure that students are working to the best of their potential! Success does not always look like getting the top grades, sometimes it's about working through what is holding you back personally and overcoming the hurdles - regardless of the final outcome.
“Watch the pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves.” - Benjamin Franklin.

My lessons revolve around empowering students to be their most inquisitive selves - curiosity fosters critical engagement with the material, and is more practically useful in essay writing in contrast to rote factual recall. Therefore, I am a tutor that prioritises a genuine understanding and fascination of the content - as the work has to come from the student at the end of the day!
Book with me, a student of Sociology at the University of Warwick, for one hour lessons if you are a GCSE student that is interested in understanding more about your subject in a way that means you are not only leaving Year 11 with a grade, but a passion for the subject, and knowledge that will follow you wherever you go. :)
