About Ava
I am a 20-year-old college student studying biology on the pre-med track at Florida State University. I am very passionate about school and I am dedicated to succeed. I have tutored throughout my high school career with kids of all ages as well as my own peers. I enjoy helping people succeed with subjects such as math and science because I know how frustrating it is to not understand something. I am an employee of the Alachua County School District as a teacher over the summer, helping kids ages 6-15.

I have much experience teaching middle and high schoolers as well as tutoring my peers in previous years. I am very good at math and science, I was in the Cambridge program and took only AP and AICE classes and passed all of them. I am a legal teacher in the Alachua County School District and I work with kids at a summer camp involving physical and mental education for ages 6 to 15. I typically like to assess the student's knowledge first by giving them a mini exam on the material they are struggling with to see which areas are lacking and what we need to focus on. I value the basics and ensuring there is a strong foundation before building upon topics. I will help students complete homework as well as bring extra materials for extra practice. These lessons are for kids aged 5 - 18 as well as adults taking courses I have already completed. I can cater to times and places in terms of when tutoring occurs, I enjoy hearing from you!
