About Isaac

Music caught me since I was 12 years old. I have taken classical guitar classes at the Museo Universitario del Chopo and the Polyforum Siqueiros theater, as well as a short stay at the Escuela Nacional de Música (now Faculty). At 15 years old, I was the solo winner with a composition of my own of the third place in the 12th Instrumental Musician Interpretation contest at the District Meeting of Academic, Technological and Cultural Evaluation of Secondary Schools, where eliminations were held throughout the Federal District. I was surpassed by an ensemble and a master marimba. At 17, I had the opportunity to play in the Alcázar del Castillo de Chapultepec, as well as the University Book Museum and the Sonia Amelio auditorium. My training in flamenco guitar has been guided mostly by the Maestro Gerardo Amezquita "El Carrrizo" great Mexican musician and virtuoso guitarist. Likewise, I have been a student for periods of Spanish guitar figures such as Gaspar Rodriguez, Tati Amaya, and the genius Antonio Rey. Currently, I have a Psychology degree given by the UNAM, so I have organizational and behavioral pedagogical techniques for teaching, as well as experience in the subject for a couple of years.

About the lesson

Hey! I’m Isaac, teacher and always a student of the guitar. I’ve seen a lot in these 12 years since I started playing, lots of teachers, lots of methods, techniques, and of course lots of my own mistakes. I’ve seen new beginnings of study, the transformations of my sound, improvement, and tons of hours of study. That is why I try to give to all my students in personal lessons the condensed information of that experience, the subjects and things I would have loved to see in my starts. In this Account, we believe in the potential of interaction. The videos for learning are great, but if you are a beginner or intermediate, perhaps you will have some questions that just a screen is not going to answer, and it will never give you feedback. If you feel stuck with the guitar, want to improve, or you just simply decided to learn the instrument, send a message and give a shot to these lessons (you get a free 1hr trial). Let me explain with actions and not only with words. My method is personalized, aimed at beginners, intermediate students, and those who feel stuck with the guitar. Despite not having two equal students, I rely on three principles: in-depth technical study, understanding of the theory, and study of the rhythm and compass. I also have as a Psychologist behavioral and evaluative techniques that can maximize student learning. I tend to be flexible but focused on my conviction as a teacher, never humiliating, because I am also a student and I learn from all too. I have to say that I write more formally and rigidly than I really am, so probably in addition to learning and studying, a pleasant and trusting atmosphere will be generated.
