About Karin
Possessing a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Stanford University actually makes me a better programmer because I approach debugging techniques and algorithms with a methodical, scientific mindset. Many students expect coding to be purely about syntax, but the real magic happens when you master C++ and version control like Git to build robust backend basics. Having taught 406 students over 11 years, I have seen every possible error in web development and competitive programming, which allows me to guide you through JavaScript APIs without the usual frustration.
I enjoy helping university-bound learners solve complex puzzles on coding platforms by focusing on the logic behind the screen. You will find my teaching style is direct and patient as we move through advanced topics together.

Most sessions start with a live demonstration of a broken function. Coding is 90 percent logic and 10 percent typing. I use my background in biology to help you visualize data flow through your scripts while we improve your problem-solving. We spend significant time on Git workflows and backend architecture to prepare you for actual development environments.
