About Lorelli

Hello! My name is Lorelli, and I hold a Master of Science in Biochemistry & Biophysics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Throughout my education and research career, I've developed a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, and related life sciences. I understand that many scientific concepts can feel overwhelming, and I'm passionate about helping students break them down into manageable, understandable pieces.

I'm patient, approachable, and committed to creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. Whether you're looking to improve your grades, prepare for an exam, or build confidence in a challenging subject, I'll work with you to develop a personalized plan that fits your goals.

About the lesson

I believe the best way to learn is to understand concepts rather than simply memorize them. My goal is to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing confidence in their abilities.

Every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to their individual needs and goals. During our first session, we'll discuss what you're hoping to achieve, identify any areas that need extra attention, and create a plan that works for your learning style. Lessons typically include clear explanations, guided practice, problem-solving, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions. I also share study strategies and organizational tips that help students become more confident and independent learners.

I hold a Master of Science in Biochemistry & Biophysics and have experience conducting research in molecular biology, biochemistry, and neuroscience. My academic background allows me to explain challenging scientific concepts in a way that is approachable and easy to understand.

I work with students from elementary school through college. For younger students, I focus on building strong foundational skills, confidence, and effective study habits. For middle school, high school, AP, and college students, I provide support in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, and related life science courses, helping students prepare for homework, exams, and long-term academic success.
