About Matt
I hold a PhD in Structural/Geotechnical Engineering with 4 years of university teaching experience and over 10 years of professional engineering practice. I have instructed numerous courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including Mathematics, Geometry, Statics, Strength of Materials, Concrete Structures, Soil Mechanics, Foundation Engineering, Tunnel Engineering, Geotechnical Software, Advanced Soil Mechanics, Advanced Foundation Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Soil–Structure Interaction, Finite Element Analysis, and Numerical Models in Geotechnics. Additionally, I have published several papers in peer-reviewed journals.
I am highly proficient in applying Australian Standards for the design of timber, masonry, concrete, and steel structures, and I am an expert user of a range of structural and geotechnical modelling software, including SpaceGass, ETABS, PLAXIS, GEO5, GEOSLOPE, and Pile Design Analysis softwares.
