About SONU
Meet Your Tutor – Sonu Kumar Hello! I’m Sonu Kumar, currently pursuing my M.Tech in Communication and Signal Processing from IIT Madras, one of India’s top institutes for engineering and research. Alongside my academic journey, I am also working as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation), where I’ve gained over 2.5 years of practical experience in cutting-edge research and development. I have qualified the GATE exam multiple times and also cleared several other prestigious government exams — experiences that have given me deep insights into not just the subject matter but also the strategies required to crack competitive tests. Why I Teach I’m deeply passionate about sharing knowledge with young minds. Teaching is not just a side activity for me — it’s something I truly enjoy. I believe that education is most powerful when it’s shared, and I want to give back by helping students like you truly understand and enjoy subjects like Math (Algebra, Trigonometry, Logic) and reasoning-based problem-solving. Whether you're a school student building your basics or an aspirant preparing for higher-level exams, I’m here to help you gain clarity, boost confidence, and succeed — using everything I’ve learned through my academic and professional journey.

My Teaching Approach: Making Math Click with Clarity and Confidence Teaching Techniques & Methods I believe math should make sense, not just be memorized. My teaching approach is built on: Conceptual Clarity First – I break down complex topics like Trigonometry identities, Algebraic expressions, and Logical reasoning into simple, relatable ideas. Real-Life Examples – I use everyday scenarios, visuals, and analogies to help students visualize math problems and understand their real-world relevance. Interactive Learning – My sessions are highly interactive. I constantly ask questions, encourage problem-solving, and make students explain back to me – this ensures they're not just hearing but learning. Step-by-Step Guidance – Each topic is taught progressively. No skipping ahead – we build a strong foundation before advancing. Customized Teaching – I adapt my pace and techniques to match each student's learning style (visual, verbal, logical, etc.). Structure of a Typical Class Quick Recap (5 mins) – Brief review of the previous lesson or key concept. Concept Introduction (10–15 mins) – Clear explanation using examples and visuals. Practice & Problem Solving (20–25 mins) – Guided practice with increasing difficulty. Doubt Clearing + Recap (10 mins) – Time for students to ask questions and revise key takeaways. Homework/Challenge Task – Optional assignments or puzzles for reinforcement. Classes are typically 45–60 minutes, depending on the student’s needs and focus. What Makes My Teaching Unique Friendly, Supportive Environment – I create a space where students feel safe to ask even the "silliest" questions. Math Anxiety Expert – I help students overcome fear or mental blocks around math. Logic-Driven Approach – Especially in Logic and Algebra, I teach how to think, not just what to do. Progress Tracking – I provide regular feedback and tailor lessons based on performance. Fun with Math – Puzzles, quizzes, games, and tricks to make learning fun and memorable. Who Are These Classes For? My classes are designed for: School Students (Grades 6–12) – Ideal for those needing support with core concepts, homework help, or exam prep.
