About Victoria
I tutored a friend throughout my GCSE's. She was predicted a D in mathematics, and progressed to a B. I also help out regularly with a low achieving year 11 class, and motivate them to at least pass this year.
I have wider teaching experience too, as I am a Sea Cadet, and do a lot of peer instruction, teaching on many subjects, from phonetic alphabet, to marching and other such things. This equips me to work with a wide demographic of pupils, with very varying needs.
I am also a certified RYA Dinghy instructor, which needs me to try a varying range of teaching techniques and styles. I teach mainly through the cadets.

I am a current student, studying Maths, Further Maths and Physics A-Levels. I achieved 5 A* at GCSE, including Maths, and so you can be more than sure I know what I'm on about. I tend to help Year 11 students, but any level up to that I can help with, easy.
My lessons tend to progress as such:
1. Overview of lesson. We outline what we are going to achieve.
2. Detail of lesson. We go into the area you wish to work on, working through a couple of practice problems.
3. Practice of lesson. You walk me through a practice problem, showing me how you go about it.
4. Summary of lesson. We review what we have just done, and I'll give you some free resources where you can practice afterwards.
For mathematics, especially at GCSE, memorization of question types is key, so I use a lot of past exam questions in my teaching, and I'll encourage you to do the same.
