I am a supporter of the methodology of learning by watching others do it. This is always my first choice when it comes to teaching something. However, I also agree with the fact that practice makes perfect. If you do not learn just by looking, then trying again and again while they guide you will surely allow you to understand the subject. On the other hand, sometimes what is needed is to break down the topic into many easy-to-understand parts and then start to fit everything together. There are many ways to learn, the important thing is to know what method to use according to the subject to learn and the natural affinities of each one.
