About Aaron

I'm a student studying A-Level Maths, Further Maths, and Physics. I achieved (concealed information)L2P (two A**, five A*, two A grades) in my GCSEs including grade 8s (A*) in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics; not only did I achieve a grade 9 (A**) in Maths, but scored 232/240 (~97%) placing me in the estimated top 1% of the UK. Currently, I am predicted A*AB in my A-Levels. As a student myself, I believe that this places me in the perfect position for tutoring - I have a strong understanding of the current exams, stress/workload, and can relate to my students.

I have 160+ hours of tutoring experience consisting of working with 30+ different students aged 4-16 years old. The majority of my students have performed significantly better after working with me: one 11+ student received 2/2 offers from private schools, all of my GCSE students progressed multiple grades, multiple KS3 students moved up sets, etc.

About the lesson

I help SATS, 11+, KS3, GCSE, and A-Level students attain their goals using science-based methods - not by reteaching what they hear in school.

So what makes me different from the rest? During my first session with a student, I will assess their current ability and create a personalised report stating their strengths, weaknesses, and actionable goals going forward. This first session is offered free of charge. Then, after each session, I will create similar style reports to help measure the progress of each of my students.

I have a science-based approach to tutoring: rather than simply reteaching content from school, I spot weaknesses and use tried-and-tested methods (such as active recall, spaced repetition, etc.) to fill in any knowledge gaps. My students not only get better at their subject, but get better at learning as a whole - I provide the framework that allows students to learn effectively.

FAQ

**Do you offer group sessions or independent one-to-one sessions?**
I only offer one-to-one sessions. After seeing first hand the difference between the two, I can assure you that the difference between group and independent sessions is huge. Students tutored independently not only receive higher quality tutoring, but achieve far greater results compared to students tutored in a group.

**Are sessions supervised? Is a parent required to be present?**
I primarily operate online - parents are welcome to join the call or supervise; happy to record sessions too. I hold a DBS Certificate for safeguarding.

**What platform do you use?**
Currently I use Google Meet with an online whiteboard.

I generally charge as per the table below. In-person fees depend on travel distance/cost. Please enquire about cost for the actual fee.

Online:
- £15/hr for SATS (Y6)
- £20/hr for 11+ (Y6)
- £20/hr for GCSE (Y10, 11)
- £30/hr for A-Level (Y12, 13)

In-person:
- £20-25/hr for SATS (Y6)
- £25-30/hr for 11+ (Y6)
- £25-30/hr for GCSE (Y10, 11)
- £35-40/hr for A-Level (Y12, 13)

FAQ

**How are payments handled?**
Directly through bank transfer. We can discuss whether pay-as-you-go or block payments will be more suitable. I require payment before each session. Or, you can pay directly through SuperProf, but this would cost you a £39/month subscription to SuperProf Student Pass (required to make contact and pay through the platform).

**What if we need to cancel/reschedule?**
Not a problem at all, just give me as much notice as possible and we can reschedule. If I ever need to cancel, I’ll do the same - either way at no extra cost.
