About Emily
I'm a student tutor with a passion for helping other students who may be struggling in math understand math concepts and excel in the curriculum. I have always had a knack for math and have always been placed in advanced placement courses in the subject. Due to this, peers have often come to me seeking help understanding what they are learning. I'm eager to be able to help more people by teaching them in the same patient, encouraging manner in which I taught my peers.

I teach mainly by introducing the concept as well as the real world application of the concept. I will show them the formulas for the equation and how to solve it, show examples and give them examples to try for them selves. After teaching the concept I will step back and allow them to try, redirect when necessary and answer questions they may have. This will leave the students with an understanding of how to do the equations as well as a self confidence that they will be able to do the problem on their own.
