About Alyssia

I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Studio Art from Chowan University. And worked as an Art teacher for 3 years at a classical Christian school. During my time there I pushed students to be their very best, while providing a challenging and loving environment. I even went as far as taking on the task of teaching k-6 students how to properly use basic color theory techniques to create master copies of original works from artists such as, Matisse, Van Gogh, and Paul Cézanne.

About the lesson

With my passion for art, I am excited to be a part of your journey through creativity and exploration. I am a firm believer that anyone can create art. You just have to have the proper mindset, skills, and instructor. I am willing to meet you at any skill level and work with you through challenges. I have a Studio Art Degree with a focus in Painting and Drawing in many different mediums, such as charcoal, graphite, India ink, pen, pastel, acrylic as well as oil, and watercolor. I even enjoy mixed media work as this creates more of an exciting challenge.
