Directed TV pilot for The Dinah docuseries about the world’s largest, longest running gathering for women seeking women. CURRENT: repped and auditioning for FILM+TV; writer/director of Sports Drama Feature Film in development; out to market as writer/prod on biotech thriller TV series; adapting a screenplay for musical film. Showran five short series for Mobile Magic Studios. Andrea, very graciously did over an hour zoom with my creative writing class. Students for the first time were writing 10 minute Scripts, and she walked them through exactly what they needed to do in order to make it readable to make the story arc work properly to think of camera Angles. I couldn’t have asked for a more spot on Teacher for script writing. This was a group of junior high school writers in a creative writing program. She read the Scripts ahead of time she was prepared with commentary. She talk to him about log lines. The cinematography department at my school film two of them and one was invited to compete in a film festival in Baltimore. The kids were very pleased. They did a great job, and I could not have done it without her .

Retreat style weekend SCRIPT WRITING, STORY DEVELOPMENT and FILM/AUDITION PREP sessions available on site near Calabasas, California - utilizing my 350 sq foot pool-side casita (sleeps 4, adjacent to 500 miles of hiking and biking trails).

When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?
I began on stage at the age of 4 and had my first professional acting job at 15. I always knew I wanted to direct film and tv later in life, so I could bring not only my life experience but also my on-set experience in different positions.
Which artists or works affect you the most?
My mother is a visual artist and took me to my first plays in London and on Broadway. Some artists who've inspired me greatly are; Film Director Hal Ashby, Painter Rene Magritte, Actress Ruth Gordon, and the monology work of Lily Tomlin, which is written by Jane Wagner.
What are the qualities and skills required to succeed in this area?
Vulnerability, Focus, Trust, Listening, Self-knowledge, Curiosity, Story Structure
What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?
Find a community that is doing what you want to do and become indispensable to them. Create a daily ritual that gets you on stage or at your desk without fail.
How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?
Writing, directing, producing and acting makes me feel completely used by the universe, firing on all cylinders, in the moment, alert and alive.
What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?
I'm very proud of starting a comedy group in college which is still on campus today, 30+ years later. I helped raise the finishing fund on an important film that won the Audience Award for Best Documentary at Sundance.
Have you ever been surprised by a student; by their ability or quick progression?
Yes. I taught at a summer acting camp in upstate New York one summer and worked one-on-one with a student who was extremely emotionally available, she took every direction I provided to great heights. She was a complete joy to watch and work with, a star in the making.
Being a Superprof is an art! What is your secret?
Every student comes to me at a different place in their creative journey. My secret is quickly locking in to their specific needs and teaching to the moment. I am committed that each mentee/student leaves with something to uplevel their art and business.
