• When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

  I developed an interest in communication and English through my background in business, where I saw how important clear communication is in professional environments. Over time, I became especially interested in helping others express their ideas more clearly and confidently.
  
  I moved into private tutoring a few years ago, and I quickly realised how impactful it is to help professionals improve not just their English, but their confidence in real conversations, especially in meetings and workplace situations.

• Tell us more about the subject you teach

  I specialise in Business English and practical communication skills, particularly for professionals who want to feel more confident in meetings, presentations, and discussions.
  
  I enjoy working on real-life topics such as workplace communication, career development, leadership, and day-to-day professional situations. I focus on helping students organise their ideas, respond clearly, and express themselves with confidence.
  
  I particularly enjoy discussions that are practical and relevant to real life, rather than purely theoretical topics.

• Did you have any role models?

  I’ve always been inspired by people who communicate clearly and calmly, especially in professional environments. Rather than one specific teacher, I’ve learned a lot from observing strong communicators in business — people who can explain complex ideas simply and confidently.
  
  This has influenced how I teach, focusing on clarity, structure, and confidence.

• What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

  A good tutor needs to be patient, supportive, and able to understand each student’s individual needs.
  
  Equally important is the ability to simplify complex ideas and provide clear structure, so students feel confident and not overwhelmed.
  
  I also believe consistency and encouragement are key — helping students build confidence step by step.

• Provide a valuable anecdote

  One thing I often notice is that many professionals I work with already have strong ideas, but hesitate to speak in meetings.
  
  A student once told me they felt they “knew what to say, but couldn’t say it clearly in the moment.” After working on simple structures and communication techniques, they became much more confident and started contributing more in meetings.
  
  That moment reinforced how powerful structured communication can be.

• What were the difficulties or challenges you faced?

  One of the main challenges I’ve seen, both personally and in my work with others, is overthinking communication.
  
  Many people try to be perfect, which actually makes communication harder. Learning to simplify, focus on clarity, and trust your message is something that takes time — but makes a huge difference.

• Do you have a particular passion?

  I’m passionate about helping people build confidence in how they communicate.
  
  It’s not just about language — it’s about helping someone feel comfortable expressing themselves and being understood.
  
  I also enjoy personal development and understanding how people can improve both professionally and personally through better communication.
