About Ashley
When I say I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil I'm not exaggerating. Since my hand could grip onto an art tool I've been creating. Acrylic portraits, comics, hand drawn calligraphy posters, you name it! In my daily life I am a tattoo artist. Art is engraved in every aspect of my life. In school I hated art classes. They were stiff, boring, the teachers often forced you to draw what they wanted, in their preferred style, over and over, and it made me resent the subject. I want to show students that art can be whatever you make it! The fundamentals are there for a reason but you can apply them in whatever way you deem fit! I want to show people art is what you make it and not what someone tells you it should be.

Art is not simply just putting pen to paper, it's expression! It's allowing the world to see a piece of your soul, letting them know you. I aim to teach you the fundamentals yes, but the last thing I ever want to do is force you into a box. While teaching you the main rules of art I'll also teach you how to apply them to your own personal art style. Focusing on developing your own voice as an artist and finding what you truly enjoy!
