About Tyreese
Musical Experience:
• Tutored primarily flute, clarinet, saxophone and (all woodwind) instruments
• Participated in marching band, wind ensemble, jazz ensemble, pep band, and woodwind quintet
• Hired to perform with a professional Orchestra
• Performed in pit orchestras for school musicals for high school and college setting
Awards Received: Music Department Award, Semper Fidelis (Marines), and various certificates
Led sectional rehearsals after school to help those needed extra time to learn music
I have been giving lessons for 15+ years primarily on flute. I have taught about 20-30 students. A few students made the All-State Junior and Senior Band. I communicate through teaching that those who persist and practice in an intelligent and mindful way will grow, learn and reach their potential as well.

As a woodwind Instructor, I understand that technique is essential, and that proper technique can be taught during a school day, no matter how many students I have. I'm not afraid to go back to the beginning of a method book and honor the foundations of playing a musical instrument. Not only do I understand that building blocks such as posture, breathing, and hand position are critical to beginners and advanced players, they will also understand that these fundamentals must be constantly reinforced throughout the student’s lessons.
