About Yasmeen
I'm a teacher for LAUSD and have a passion for students. I hold a BFA in Screenwriting from Ithaca College and a Master's in Humanities with a focus on Rhetoric and Communication theory from Cal State Northridge. I believe in Socratic-style teaching, with focus on discourse and an exchange of ideas. I will learn from you just as much as you will learn from me!

These sessions are all about YOU! I believe in peer-to-peer, student-led education and will come to you as one.
We'll start with your specific questions and tackle your essays with that in mind.
We'll look at the piece together holistically, and pick apart issues, generate ideas and solutions, and punch up your writing.
Then we'll proofread, and talk about further goals while you continue working on your piece.
Open to high school, college, and graduate levels in English, Social Sciences, Creative Writing, and any long-form writing.
