About Abigail

Hello! My name is Abigail Maxwell and I am a passionate teacher, reader, writer, and tutor. I am currently a 7th grade ELA teacher, and I have a Bachelor's of Arts degree in English Education. On top of this, I am a self-published author and avid reader. I am passionate about all things Language Arts and am eager to help more students find their way in the reading and writing world.

About the lesson

As a 7th grade ELA teacher, I have experience in teaching students of all levels and understand the importance of differentiated learning and way to help students understand. Whether the work be hands-on or visual cues, I know what it takes to help a student succeed.

I know how important language as well as how challenging it can be to some. I have studied and gotten a degree in English Education as well as teach 7th grade Language Arts, so I am knowledgable in all areas of reading, writing, grammar, and more.

Typically, I would begin the lesson by reviewing the concept that the student is struggling with. From there, I would help them with whatever assignment they are struggling to complete (if applicable) before providing extra practice and guidance. This way, they see it modeled, we work together, then they put their knowledge to the test as would happen in a classroom.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my real-life experience as a teacher as well as my degree. Because of my experience, I have the knowledge it takes to work with students to not only learn the concept but master it.

I am knowledgable of ELA concepts from 4th grade all the way through the beginning years of college.
