About Leah
I have a B.A. in History from Texas A&M and a M.A. in Teaching from Texas Woman's University. I also have a minor in Journalism that allows me to proofread essays in any style (MLA, APA, AP, Chicago, etc.) and adhere to the strict rules regarding those styles. I am familiar with working with students of all ages and have been tutoring for over 5 years. Many of my clients have gone on to become successful and confident writers. I enjoy working with students to ensure they have the best possible outcome from a class.

I like to meet my students where they're at and develop a plan together to see what works best for them and their needs. I understand that each student has their own challenges and we can work together to develop the best possible way to tackle them head on. I believe education is one of the most important things in a person's life. My goal is to help my students become more confident in their reading and writing skills no matter what obstacles they are facing. In addition to working with K-12 students I am also available to help undergraduate students with writing and editing essays for English or History classes. I am also available to tutor the Science of Reading to aspiring teachers.
