I am an engineering student from

Can you prove why odd+odd = even?
Proof:
NOTE: A number of things can be paired if and only if it is even.
SOLUTION:
If you have 2 boxes of chocolates, each having an odd number of chocolates, then if you make pairs of chocolates within each box, one chocolate will be left unpaired from each box as both had an odd number of chocolates. So, the two left chocolates from each box could be paired together, which means that the total sum of chocolates from both the boxes is even as all the chocolates are paired now and this can only happen if the total count is even. Hence, odd(box1 count) + odd(box2 count) = even(total count).
