About Ayush

Hi, I am Ayush. I specialize in helping students prepare for exams (particularly Cambridge ESOL: PET, FCE and CAE) and also in improving their speaking and writing skills. I speak English and have elementary knowledge of Russian. Currently, I am learning Spanish. As a result, I can put myself in the shoes of those learning a foreign language. I love teaching, traveling, reading novels and creative writing. Having studied medicine for about 2 years, I have an extensive knowledge of English required in the profession of healthcare. I have been to Central Asia before and would love to get to know other cultures and speak other languages. It gives me a deep satisfaction to see my work producing results when my students achieve their dream of getting into a university abroad or landing a job!

I am certified in TEFL by International TEFL Academy, Chicago (IL). Besides TEFL, I also hold a certificate in teaching English online. My proficiency/fluency in English is certified by British Council and English First.

I have been teaching English for the last 4 years. During this time, I taught general English to Russian-speaking young adults and adults in Kyrgyzstan (Central Asia). Apart from that, I also worked as the project coordinator and the teacher for an NGO running an English course for underprivileged students in Kyrgyzstan. As of now, I am preparing students for Cambridge FCE, CAE and CPE (academic English), business English, and organizing speaking and writing workshops for Mexican young adults and adults. I have taught both British and American English.

About the lesson

I am an empathic, calm, friendly and understanding teacher. The qualities that I prize the most are persistence, sincerity and willingness. I prefer to get to know my students and their aspirations/interests to modify my lessons to suit their personal needs/wants. My classes are interactive and communicative. I enjoy using activities (such as role play, discussions), videos, songs, games, presentations and pictures, etc. in my classes. I track my students' progress by giving assignments and providing feedback. I pay equal attention to all the areas of language learning, i.e. reading, writing, listening, speaking, pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary.

1. Get to know you and your level through a general conversation and a diagnostic test.

2. Do a needs analysis questionnaire in order to understand your needs, interests and motivation behind studying English. This helps to cater the course to you.

3. Demonstrate my teaching by explaining a topic that you find difficult.

4. Coming up with a plan (level, course, duration and frequency) to help you achieve your goal.
