About Elena
I have 9 years of experience as a Physics educator and hold a B.S. in Physics Education. I am a recipient of the "STEM Leadership Award" and have a lifelong fascination with Astrophysics and Quantitative Physics. My life outside of teaching is centered around the outdoors; I am a dedicated amateur astronomer and an avid mountain hiker. I spend many clear nights with my telescope, and I find that the perspective gained from looking at distant stars or climbing a peak keeps my passion for Thermodynamics and Astrophysics fresh. I bring this sense of genuine wonder into our lessons, helping you see that Physics is not just a collection of formulas, but the very "source code" of our existence.

My Physics lessons are designed to spark wonder and intellectual rigor in students from K-12 through the first year of a Bachelor’s program. Using live, interactive simulations on Microsoft Teams, we investigate the fundamental laws that govern our universe, from the microscopic scale of Quantitative Physics to the massive scale of Astrophysics. The standout benefit of my teaching style is the emphasis on "Quantitative Reasoning"—I help you translate physical phenomena into the precise mathematical formulas used by professional physicists. We explore Thermodynamics and energy systems through engaging, two-way dialogue, ensuring you are an active investigator rather than a passive observer. By participating in these live one-to-one sessions, you develop the critical thinking and analytical skills required for any high-level degree in science or engineering, giving you a significant head start in your university journey.
