About Josh
I have been giving lessons for just under two years in my spare time and have so far taught 4 students. My GCSE and AS level students have all done exceptionally well with one student going from a target grade D to achieving an A grade in GCSE biology. He then went on to study biology as an A-level subject much to my delight. My other students achieved two A grades and one B grade in AS biology studying A2 biology the following year.

Hi, I am a third year biology student who is passionate about this fascinating science. I aim to provide high quality fun lessons to GCSE AND AS-Level students in need of some extra support. My lessons will be structured around the curriculum content (exam board specific), and will endeavour to improve the student's ability to understand unit content and specific concepts, as well as aiding them in their writing and mathematical skills required to answer biology exam questions. The lessons will usually be topic based with a methodical approach to covering different sections of material the student requires help with. This is dependent on direct feedback from the student. My lessons are student focussed, so I will trial different teaching techniques with them, for example: brainstorming; visual diagrams; challenges, practical demonstrations. This is so that I can understand whether my students engage with and enjoy the lessons so that they can be tailored to their learning style. Above all, I hope my students really enjoy our sessions together and feel that they are improving.
