About Brian
Hi! I'm a UCLA student who was accepted to every UC I applied to. In high school, I earned a 4.7 weighted GPA, 3.95 unweighted GPA, and 1530 SAT score while taking 13 AP classes. I also balanced competitive swimming with community service, leadership, and work, including Korean traditional drumming, earning the Gold PVSA, leading a K–8 book club, and working as a private swim instructor. I also attended Stanford's 5-week SMYSP program. I want to help students tell their stories authentically and build strong, compelling applications while tutoring rigorous courses that I know can be very challenging.

My teaching style includes lecture and practice. I believe practice and repetition are what separates A students from B students. I like to do 30 minutes of in-depth lecture, breaking down the content into digestible chunks and answering any questions you may have. For the other 30 minutes, I like to do practice worksheets, quizzes, and tests to solidify the content you had just learned/reviewed. I provide lessons for anyone ages K-12, but I am also willing to help college students. For college application help, you will provide me all of your resources, and I will take a look over them; I will also provide my resources so you can do a side-by-side comparison to directly see what you can improve on.
