About Annabel
As a dedicated and high-achieving Chemistry student at Loughborough University, currently working at a First-Class level, I bring both strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching. I am committed to helping students not only improve their grades but also develop a deeper understanding and confidence in chemistry.
I have experience communicating complex scientific ideas clearly through my role as a Science Ambassador, where I regularly engage with students of different ages and abilities. This has strengthened my ability to explain difficult concepts in a way that is accessible, structured, and tailored to the individual.

I take a supportive and structured approach to tutoring, focusing on building both understanding and confidence in chemistry. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit each individual—whether that means breaking concepts down step-by-step, using visual explanations, or working through exam-style questions together.
My sessions are typically 60 minutes long and are designed to be engaging, interactive, and tailored to the student’s goals. A typical lesson might include revisiting key concepts, guided practice, and applying knowledge to exam questions to strengthen both understanding and technique. I also place a strong emphasis on exam skills, helping students learn how to approach questions effectively and avoid common mistakes.
As a third-year Chemistry BSc student at Loughborough University, currently achieving a First-Class average, I have a strong academic foundation across organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry. In addition, my role as a Science Ambassador has given me valuable experience explaining complex scientific ideas clearly to a wide range of students. I have also secured a place to undertake a PGCE at University of Oxford in September 2026, reflecting my commitment to a career in education.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-level students, including those who may be struggling with confidence as well as those aiming for top grades. I aim to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and can make real progress.
