About Sasha

In the last 5 years, Sasha served as Adjunct and a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, teaching Drawing and Design Fundamentals,Figure Drawing, as well as Illustration classes.
He was born in Azerbaijan at the end of the Soviet Union and grew up in Khabarovsk, on the Chinese border of the Russian Far East. His journey abroad began at 17, attending Pearson College, one of the United World Colleges, in British Columbia, Canada.

He holds his bachelors in International Business, and Marketing with Visual Arts Emphasis from Westminster College (Fulton, Missouri, 2010); and MFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design (Savannah, GA, 2017).

With an extensive artistic background, he spent the last 25 years expanding his traditional skills into illustration, graphic design, marketing, business, and teaching. His creative passions lie in portraiture, figure drawing, product/graphic design, as well as sculpture.

Sasha’s life philosophy is staying curious while continuously learning new things. He believes that human beings live more fulfilling and joyous lives when they are engaged creatively. His mission is to help others develop artistic and creative skills and confidence to express their creative potential. In his unique personable and engaging teaching approach, he helps his students not only develop strong understanding of fundamentals and technical skills but more importantly a life-long creative mindset.

About the lesson

Wide range of art, design, illustration, and crafts related subjects. I believe that in depth and well-rounded approach to teaching fundamentals is key.

Real world experiences as an artist, designer, and illustrator which are a huge resource to my students.

Wide range of skills, including extensive understanding of real-world applications and business practices for creatives.

Lessons are designed for specific age groups, ranging from 6-11 year olds, 11-17, college students and adults.

My approach is to tailor the lessons to the specific needs and interest of individual student. This may vary from curriculum based plans appropriate to a graphic design, illustration, or other studio art college student, to a more playful and engaging paper maché or painting project for a home schooled 10 year old.
