About Henry
I’m a drum tutor with 17 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music. My passion for drumming began early, and teaching became a natural extension of that passion. I’ve worked with students of all ages, especially beginners. My lessons focus on building solid fundamentals. You’ll learn stick technique, rhythm patterns, and proper drumming posture. I believe every student can improve through structured guidance and patience. Lessons are paced to match each learner’s comfort and goals. I incorporate fun songs to keep students motivated. Practice routines are designed to be clear and manageable. I value steady progress and positive reinforcement. My environment is calm, safe, and welcoming. Students are encouraged to ask questions and explore their creativity. I enjoy seeing learners gain confidence over time. My teaching style is warm, friendly, and encouraging. Students receive guidance on structured practice, milestone tracking, and goal-setting to ensure steady growth. My teaching environment is positive, encouraging, and supportive, allowing learners to explore their own style confidently. Lessons emphasise listening skills, musical analysis, and practical application in both solo and ensemble contexts. Students gradually develop technical mastery, rhythmic independence, coordination, and expressive ability. Milestones are celebrated to reinforce progress and maintain motivation.
