About Ruth
I’m a dedicated tutor with over 26 years of experience tutoring students to achieve their academic goals. I specialise in 11+ tuition, all primary subjects, and English at all levels (reading, writing, literature, and language). With a particular focus on reading and writing, I strive to equip students with the essential skills for academic success. I have a proven track record of helping students successfully navigate the 11+ and 13+ exams, securing places at their schools of choice. My experience spans primary school years 1-6, where I've honed my ability to cater to diverse learning styles and individual needs. As a former year 6 teacher and English lead, I've achieved excellent SATs results and have a deep understanding of the national curriculum. My international experience in Chile and Japan, combined with my IGCSE teaching background in poetry and literature, allows me to bring a global perspective to my teaching. I’ve also had the privilege of creating two school libraries, fostering a love of reading and learning.
