About Siqi

I am young, easy-going, patient, considerate, enthusiastic and full of responsibility. I love interacting with students of all ages (my youngest student was 4.5 years old and the eldest was 46) and I am eager to see their improvement with my help.

I graduated from one of the top 15 universities in China and came to Dublin last year to further study at Smurfit to go for my dreamful career path. I will be moving to Limerick in Sep. While in China, I have been a part-time bilingual teacher (teach English to Chinese and teach Chinese to foreigners) on a local website since 2016 and have accumulated a large number of experiences. I still remember all those moving moments when my students achieved their goals in the end!

I also established a buddy program (business Chinese focus) within my class here given we are all going to work globally and China has been a rapidly growing market for every industry.

About the lesson

It's not all about learning to speak and write another language that is not easy, it's about communicating and practising to absorb/acquire the mode, conversation style and the mindset as what we did as a baby. I believe in the power of intuitive learning, so dependent upon your goals of the courses, there will be designated plans for each of you at all levels from 5 years old.

Also, in order to go for optimal results, according to the attention curve, an 1-1.5 hr class is the best suit for teenagers and adults with a possible 5 min break in the middle while 30 min is sufficient for kids under 8. Normally, I will answer my students' questions even outside the class should you have any related via email.

Thanks to my past 5-year experiences as part-time Mandarin teacher in China and Ireland (recently) , I’ve sorted out some tips regarding how to learn Chinese in a more efficient and interesting way! I love interactions with my students and love to hear about their experiences/stories in the meanwhile. I believe the studying/teaching journey will be mutual companies with fun and surprises by virtue of sharing and learning all interesting topics according to your needs.

Nothing is so difficult if you’ve got the right company and practice a lot! The journey will never let you down :)
