About Hui

Hello! I’m Huihui, a Shanghai-based educator who believes that learning Mandarin should be as precise as an engineering project and as soulful as a beautiful melody. With an MSc from UCL (top 10) and five years of experience as a Green Building Project Manager, I’ve mastered the art of deconstructing complex systems into clear, logical blueprints for my students.

My transition into education was fuelled by a deep passion for fostering genuine human connections through language. As a 'musical soul' who plays the piano and guitar, I bring a unique sense of warmth, patience, and rhythm to every lesson. I choose to teach because I find immense joy in helping others find their professional and elegant voice in Chinese.

Holding a high-level Mandarin Certificate (Level 2-A), I am dedicated to providing you with both authentic pronunciation and a highly professional learning experience. My goal is to be more than just a tutor; I aim to be a supportive partner who ensures your steady progress while building a long-lasting bond. About the lesson

Hi! I’m Huihui, currently based in Shanghai. I hold a BEng with First Class Honours from the University of Nottingham and an MSc from UCL (Top 10). Before transitioning into education, I spent five years as a Project Manager in Green Building Engineering. This background allows me to deconstruct complex systems into clear, manageable logic. Beyond my passion for teaching, I am a "musical soul" who enjoys playing the piano, guitar, and singing. Having taught music part-time for a year, I believe that both music and language are powerful tools for warm, human connection. In my classroom, I aim to build a long-lasting bond with you while ensuring steady linguistic progress.

I hold a high-level Mandarin Certificate (Level 2-A), ensuring you receive the most authentic pronunciation guidance. By integrating five years of engineering project management logic into my teaching, I have developed a unique "Modular Learning System."

Exam Preparation: For HSK, YCT, and BCT, I provide efficient strategies focusing on logical deconstruction rather than rote memorisation.

General Learning: I offer a comprehensive curriculum covering Business Chinese, intensive courses for beginners, and inspirational lessons for K-12 students. I am currently helping students achieve breakthroughs in oral proficiency by transforming complex materials into clear logical chains, making your speech both professional and elegant.

Every student’s Mandarin journey is unique. During our trial session, I will apply a rigorous logical framework to conduct a comprehensive language assessment and work closely with you to define your specific learning goals.

To ensure effective learning, I provide tailored modular study materials after each class. Regarding homework, I advocate for "precise practice," assigning customised tasks to ensure you make efficient progress even with a busy schedule.
